About me
I am a teacher, a mum, and a wife. I am also madly passionate about pottery and jewellery.
My passion for handcraft started in 2013 when I approached ceramics and fell in love with wheel throwing. After a couple of years of pause after becoming the mum of Ada, I started wheel throwing again and what made me even more in love with it was the studio's location. It's in beautiful Gustavsberg, a little harbor outside the Stockholm archipelago, known for its history of porcelain manufacture and for all the ceramic artists who choose to work here nowadays.
In 2021 I got curious about silversmithing, I tried it, and it was love at first sight. Now I have my little studio at home where I create the simple jewelry I love to wear and see others wearing. I love the contrast between my two passions, the calmness coming from sitting at the wheel and giving form to clay on one side. And the hardness, the fire, the intense feeling while sawing, hammering, and soldering silver.
Clay and silver are my therapy. They give me joy and emotion and make me happier and fulfilled.
My hands feel they have a purpose when doing things. And my mind is there, just there, just focused on the moment and nothing else.
And Gustavsberg is the place where the magic happens, where clay becomes mugs and bowls, and where silver wire becomes earrings and rings.
Welcome to my world!
